Mark Parkinson
Business Psychologist

People create value, not spreadsheets... I am a professional Business Psychologist specialising in executive assessment, selection and development. In particular the identification of individual talent, entrepreneurial flair and leadership potential.

Business sparks! Ultimately clients ask me to profile managers for their ability to deliver and inspire, and to work out how to strengthen their core team. That’s because I know it’s the ability to lift performance that makes ventures fizz, because let’s face it: all business is about the psychology of achievement. And genuine success? That’s often down to the truly talented sparking off each other. As for business psychology, what this brings to the party is a scientific way of getting the best out of people.

Why talent matters: Spotting and developing top performers can have a significant impact on overall productivity. The management consultants McKinsey & Company reporting that they can generate an extra 67% compared to their more average performing colleagues.* It's just a question of discovering where capability and potential converge.

Business psychology is the science of the business mind.

Do you have a 34GB brain? We are all exposed to something like 34 gigabytes of information each day.* That's why it's important to explore how people prefer to divide their attention (and abilities), and to look at the connection with personality, interests & values. Understanding the way these things fit together is at the heart of increasing performance.

Interested... Perhaps you haven't used a psychologist before and are trying to choose one that suits your way of working, if so you might like to consider the Four A's.
